Description
Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso DOC
Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso DOC is a red wine produced in Naples, Italy. Its name derives from the “Tears of Christ,” which, according to legend, fell from the heavens after the destruction of Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 AD.
The wine is made from Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes grown in the volcanic soils of Mount Vesuvius. Piedirosso is the primary variety, giving the wine its deep ruby-red color and fruity aroma, with notes of cherry, strawberry, and spices. Aglianico adds structure and body to the wine.
Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso DOC is a versatile wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes. It is excellent with red meats, game, and aged cheeses. It can be served at room temperature or slightly chilled.
