The Casatiello Dolce, also known as Pigna di Pasqua in the Caserta area, is a very ancient Campanian dessert and a symbol of Easter. It is typically prepared with sourdough starter and undergoes a slow, delicate leavening process. Finally, it is topped with the characteristic white glaze and lots of colorful sprinkles.

As per tradition, the Casatiello is entirely handmade and contains no preservatives, semi-finished products, artificial flavorings, or vegetable fats.
